I hope Mexico gets their shit together on this virus thing.  Not that we’re a 
shining light, but they seem determined to make Italy look good.  They must 
think eating jalapenos confers immunity.

For me the cognate for caldo is caldron.  Sopa is soup.  So if you have a 
simmering caldron of something, what is that thing?  Could be stew or beans...  
But that would be a caldero de frijoles.  Being a gringo I am not qualified to 
make these comments...

So the other day I had to look up the difference between caldo and sopa, and 
the Internet gods said broth vs soup.

But why is this sopa?  OK, I’m just reading the package.  Does putting some 
calabacitas and queso in caldo turn it into sopa?
