A friend of mine was horsing around with his brother. He took a 38 automatic and pulled the bullet off one of the cartridges and mashed a soft bar of soap into it to keep the powder in. We used to call these soap loads. Others did it with wax. He shot his brother at a range of about 10 feet right in the area of the heart. Blood immediately soaked the shirt, the brother fell to the floor exclaiming “I am dying”. After the brother did not in fact die, he appreciated the joke. Pretty funny we all thought. He had a hell of a bruise but no real damage. Maybe some subcutaneous soap.

He and his wife tested positive, his parents who live the basement also tested positive, his mom of which is in the hospital. So….. We are a bit freaked out. Fortunately we haven’t had physical contact with them in weeks. However I’ve noticed their kids were in the field, our shared backyard, playing with other neighbor kids within the past two weeks. We don’t let our boys anywhere near anyone else for about two weeks now anyways, so I’m praying we don’t have it (yet). On another note, I think our main field tech might have contracted it.
