Let’s call it spam, or Canadian bacon, or anything but bologna (pronounced boloney?). I have not been able to eat bologna since elementary school bag lunches. Tasteless lunchmeat on tasteless white bread. Makes me want to puke just thinking about it.
Looks fine in Jaime’s photo, just don’t use the word bologna, it brings back bad memories. And please don’t bring up the “my bologna has a first name” jingle. And apparently “bologna sandwich” has been used as an insult against both presidential candidates. Either because of the initials B.S., or because it connotes blandness. Not all bologna, mind you, but teh word "bologna" comes in many different forms; not all are pleasant. OTOH, there are some bologna that I like better than spam. So there is the crux of the issue. Spam is consistent. It may not be top of the list, but it's not the bottom of the list either. If Spam was a 50, "bologna" probably ranges from 35 to 65, or something like that. I will go for a consistent 50 before I go with a 35.
