What type of equipment? It's been a while since I've run into something
that needed a fixed date.
Does the date do anything other than just the local Log? If not, then
Just deal with it being off by an hour for a couple weeks.

DST and remember there’s a 1 hour difference when looking at logs?
Don’t even use local timezone and just use UTC? Or just live with it
being off by an hour for a few days a year?
