Talked to the owner of a golf course with restaurant/bar the other day.  He 
said that he's lucky if 2 in 10 show up for work after they accept the job.

Happens all the time.    About 50% show up for the phone interview.    About 
50% of those show up for the second interview.    Some that go through the 
hiring process, do the background check and the drug screen and occasionally 
show up for work on the first day.    Last one went through it all, worked one 
day and called in the next day.   Quit 2 days later.

No shows to scheduled interviews is very common.

On a positive note, I am wiring up my new (to me) water jet cutter...  Be 
making my own HDD drill bits and micro trenching blades soon!
