OK, good explanation.

It's not well known, but the 820c supports 4x4 MIMO. Two 820c radios,
vertically separated on separate antennas, can transmit/receive on the same
channel pairs.

You are correct that a single 820c radio, on its own does MIMO. In this case
it's 2x2 MIMO aka XPIC.

The reason we switched the primary stocking SKU to the non-MIMO ESS model is
because there were far more cases of customers wanting to run two fiber data
cables, and you can't do that on the mimo model since the second SFP port is
dedicated for mimo/SD connectivity between two radios.

Wouldn't non-MIMO be the 820S? I have plenty of spares of the 15/16 versions,
just never bought a spare for the 55/56 dual core because I only have the one
link.

I'm not following what a non-MIMO version would be for a dual core radio, are
you talking about dual channel same polarization or whatever the acronym is for
that? And is that a different radio, or a different combiner or OMT? Again,
not enough caffeine yet to get acronyms right.

Good catch. C110082L027 is the same thing but NON-MIMO. It's what most are
using now. Winncom and ISP show stock on their sites. We're backordered.
