EM Client can read the Outlook calendar invites. It's free for 1
account. Paid version if you need to check multiple accounts. Mainly
it's fast, even with a large Inbox. Highly recommend.
It also syncs with my GMail Calendar.
Thunderbird performance seems inversely proportional to how much mail I
have. Haven't used Outlook since the 2003 version.

Have resisted outlook for years. Few times it would be nice. When
someone sends a meeting or contact at least I can read it without
having to use a text editor and parsing through the complex crap…
