I also saw an article in the newspaper recently that explained how the different types of masks work. Strangely, nobody seems to explain this stuff.

A mask made of woven cotton does a good job of catching small and large particles, through 2 different mechanisms. But medium size particles tend to get through.

That’s where an N95 mask is superior, for 2 reasons. They are made from a non woven material with random fibers, plus they are treated to be electrostatically charged so the particles are attracted and stick. Sounds like if you are trying to protect yourself, N95 is the way to go. Good luck finding one.

Very good article, little to none of the politically driven nonsense.

Was curious cause I had it 2 weeks ago, took care of my mom most of last week and this weekend and picked dad up from the hospital (remdesivir for the win). Now I'm getting sick again.

Turns out, I likely never got rid of it. Mom keeps getting very low fevers but otherwise feels well.

Heres a tidbit, a percent of people can often smell flu and fever, particularly in peoples hair, probably a distress pheromone we put off. My dad and I can. Turns out, there is a mild odor to the Rona, best description I can make is smokey poop that it smells like. I could be wrong on this since Rona can do stuff yo your olfactory.
