Subject: Re: [AFMUG] Mikrotik hAP ac status

Streakwave still has a few in stock, I see it when I search for hAP, but if you
search for RB962 it should be the only result.

Is the hAP ac being discontinued or something? Not the Lite or AC2 or AC3 or
any other variants. I realize it is overpriced, so it could be going away.
Most home routers don’t need an SFP cage and even that doesn’t explain why it
costs over $100. But nevertheless we buy them.

The reason I ask is I can’t even find it on Streakwave’s web site, but Baltic
claims to have almost 1500 of them on the shelf, which sounds like a ton unless
they bought up the remaining stock at a discount or something. Or maybe
somebody screwed up and ordered 1500 instead of 150 and they will be working
off that stock for the next 100 years.
