If you take this to the most basic level, it’s like a game of chicken. Who is

If any legislation comes out of this hopefully it's yet another wake up call to the
common folk, that the rules do not apply to the "ruling" political class of
Americans. If the rules bother us we will change them to make sure we are still in the
elite class...... And I hope someone eventually has some sort of memory around elections
and remember who actually did anything for the common person they all so cheerily like to
refer to themselves as and who they are fighting for. Maybe pass a law for politicians,
you go in to office all of your finances, stocks and holdings get placed in a freeze
status until you are out of office. No gains allowed for assets of you or your family
members. That should quell the career politician path, but alas that will never happen
because those ruling elite control the law making process...... Just like the exempt
themselves from insider trading laws but crafting language in said laws that allows them
not to be considered those with inside information.

I shorted yesterday... then sold at the end of the day because I was
worried about not being able to sell today or Friday (because of exactly
what's going on). Should have held I guess...

I just realize too, someone probably probably shorted at $300 and is
making bank. Price has gone from over $400 to $232 and still falling...

So did these redditors break any law?

I assume it is them who will be targeted for enforcement

Exactly.... the only one who makes out is the Shorter IF the
stock goes
down. If it goes up the shorter is massively in trouble.

now rinse and repeat this several times WITH THE SAME BLOCKS and you
have how we got to 140% shorted.
