We got called earlier today to inform us we had been wait listed at the San
Mateo Event Center.
The person on the line told us to get there at 15:30, but no earlier. She
repeated that "no earlier than 15:30" 5 or 6 times.
We got there at 15:33. So far so good. We got to the entrance, they checked
our names on the wait list and sent us straight in. Could not have taken
more than 5 minutes. We then went out to a holding area where they stacked
us up for 15 minutes to wait for any allergic reactions. I did not see
anyone (probably 100 cars in the holding area at any one time) get pulled
out for a reaction. Then they let us loose and we skedaddled.
However, I did see a bunch of people in a "pre-holding" area. Apparently if
you were wait listed and got there before the appropriate time, you got
sent to the back of the line. Ahhhh. Very clever.
At any rate, it's been almost 3 hours and neither of us has had any
reaction. Not even a sore arm.
