Yes, the AC APs are backwards compatible. You can't connect an airmax AC client to an N AP, but N clients to AC APs works fine. I'd replace it with a Rocket 5AC Prism.
If it hadn't been killed off, ePMP Elevate would be the smart thing to do, but yeah...
