Pad, pencil, voltmeter.  Charge batt fully.  Put on load,  no charger.
Measure voltage every 15 minutes  until either the voltage is below you minimum 
setting or 3 hours elapse.
Plot the voltage.  You can extend the line until you hit the min voltage point 
and you will know how long you can run.

If you k now the current, multiply current by run to get amp hours.  Compare 
with original spec of the battery.  
While sitting around during the test, also measure and record individual cell 
voltage.  They should all drop about the same.  If one or more drops 
significantly more than the others those are bad cells and need to be replaced.

I use the BC2000 on my Eltek/valere charger.  It does all of this 
automatically.
