So the "Interference Calculations Pending" state cleared up after about
4 hours.
For any who might be curious: Commscope says when you're in that state
that you're within the protection zone of an incumbent operator and
you're waiting for IAP, and that yes this can take hours.
IAP was a new term for me today. Iterative Allocation Process. What I'm
gathering is that the incumbent has a total interference quota, and
during the IAP the SAS is calculating an "interference contribution" for
every CBSD (every AP and SM) in the protection area to make sure your SM
isn't the one that pushed the incumbent over their interference quota.
I'm reading that the IAP processing time is affected by "The incumbents
nearby, the contour and the *density of the CBSDs in one location." *I
hope that doesn't mean that these wait times will get longer as more
radios are deployed......but that's kinda what it sounds like.

These channels were call clear on the SA. We are definitely in range
for both the coastal radar and a grandfathered earth station in
Roaring Creek PA, so I assumed it was related to one of those, but I'm
only assuming.

my guess is its overlapping another operator, or yourself. have

Sometimes when adding an SM to the SAS I get a message back saying
"Grant Suspended: 501 Interference Calculations Pending."
Usually this clears in a few minutes, but sometimes it's hours.
I have
one that cleared up at some point overnight, but somehow later
became
unregistered on the following weekend. So I restarted the grant
process
on that one this morning and it's back to "Interference Calculations
Pending".
So is this interference calculation an automated step or a manual
one?
Why do some locations not need it, why do some get past it
quickly and
some don't?
