I ran into some personal issues that didnt allow time to expand much on
this, finally circling back.
boss gave approval, child minimum wage, 10-20 hours per week, part time
status
This is a general overview of what id like to see from this pseudo intern
position. It is more of a technical position that I would like to see last
approximately 1 year, with school/work credit if one of the local districts
wants to participate. After this we can hire or fire. My kid is the test
subject. My personal goal has always been that any employee cross trains in
the first 2 areas and gets a little understanding of the second 2. Its
never really worked out. I think if we bring in a kid or two over the
years, the boss will realize that children are capable of handling multiple
sets of knowledge, so adults can as well.
This particular role, would allow for assistance in the first 3 categories,
but really I want to focus it on the System Administration side
Learn the aspects of WISP operation
1. System Administration
1. Learn overall network layout
2. Understand Packetflow
3. Understand systems in play
4. Understand equipment in use
5. Understand Deployment
1. Infrastructure
2. Customer Premise
1. Customer Service
1. Tier one support
2. Sales procedures
3. Customer retention
2. Marketing
1. Marketing tools in use
2. Marketing strategies in play
3. Business Operations
1. General Business Fundamentals
1. Guidelines and regulations
2. Employee management
2. Short and long term growth strategies
