A lot of installation guides tell you to put a surge protector at the bottom and top end of a cable going up a tower. Does anyone here actually do that?
Every installation I've seen in person has only had them on the bottom. I think the fears people have are the SS housing leaking up or otherwise having to climb for a problem with the SS. -Adam
