Mark is correct - xlookup is the slick new version of vlookup. If you don't know vlookup and need to learn one, start with xlookup.
The big selling point is that xlookup can more easily lookup to the left or right, whereas vlookup can only lookup values that are to the right of your key value. The downside is that you may have 20+ years of familiarity with vlookup and/or have old Excel files that you need to debug.
