A while ago, I got to play with some TP-Link PtP gear that a customer had bought. Hardware seemed very similar to UBNT Airmax stuff. And the software was eerily similar to the older Airmax GUI. I wondered if there was some sort of OEM agreement going, or if TP-Link is just playing copycat. I presume quite a bit of UBNT software is under GPL.
One thing that was different is that I could never get the radios to link up. Had to change out the link for a pair of Nanostation Locos. Guessing I had a bad radio on one end or the other.
