Went to court again today. Before the case was called the clerk of the court handed me a check from the defendant. Once again someone drives 100 miles, to get to a court hours a few minutes before a case is called to pay a bill that they could have done via mail, ACH, credit card etc like they had done dozens of times before.
I don’t get people. But I do know how to work the small claims system. I used to beg them for a year only to have some of them stiff me in the end. Not any more.
