I'm trying to save my Mom some money with the obscene amount she pays
Comcast each month for the black&white 4x3 TV shows she watches, but one
of the things she really likes is that with her Triple play, the Caller
ID Information for her landline calls pops up on the TV Screen.
It looks like standalone Caller ID Boxes may be a thing of the past,
unless I'm searching amazon for the wrong thing. Hearing and vision
are not that great, so needs to be a large bright display. Ebay has some
old models, but they don't look very large, or bright. I'm guessing
there's not a box that the HDMI Cable would pass through and add caller
ID as an overlay as the screen.
Many of you have been doing Telco fora long time, what CallerID devices
have there been over the years that might work? I'm thinking something
like the size of a tablet that you could see from across the room. If
it could announce it audibly too, that would be nice.
