Yes, you have a catastrophic stop loss policy. $45K as I recall. We had to cover everything up to that amount. We used a third party administrator that appears to be an insurance company to all the providers. They even argue amounts etc. But they just pass the bills through with a commission or fee. People got insurance cards etc. We could specify exactly what was covered and what was not. 100% control. Saved a ton of money over the years.

Did you have a policy to cover those? On Tue, May 10, 2022, 11:17 AM Chuck McCown via AF <[email protected]> wrote: That was beehive. I have done the same thing at another telco. But yeah, a bit small for self insurance here. It is a hands down way to save 1/3rd to 1/2 of your health insurance money if you have a large enough group. I would think 25 people would do it. I guess that was with Wireless Beehive? Ten people does not sound large enough to pull that off. Maybe you are over-insured? bp <part15sbs{at}gmail{dot}com>On 5/10/2022 9:00 AM, Chuck McCown via AF wrote: I have to do something to trim my insurance bill. $10K per month and we only have 10 employees. That is just the business insurance, workers comp, vehicles. I also have a health policy on top of that. Gotta find a lower cost source. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ -- AF mailing list [email protected] http://af.afmug.com/mailman/listinfo/af_af.afmug.com -- AF mailing list [email protected] http://af.afmug.com/mailman/listinfo/af_af.afmug.com
