A buddy of mine and I have partnered up and are offering what we feel is
some pretty fair WISP pricing to drill and pull fiber in. We are offering
36 month financing if we have trust, We really think our rates will get you
to ROI before you pay us off.
We "can '' do drops too, but honestly, I dont want to.
Its limited range from our service territories and limited availability, he
owns a WISP/FISP and I work full time for one so we can really only peel
away about 5 days at a time (we can do more, but Im still under employer
arrangement that has some implications). We did complete 4500 feet of duct
and vaults in 4 days and a cleanup day, so thats a production reference.
Clean work, We avoid swearing too much. I dig holes when Im not busy, he on
the other hand will sell every customer in the neighborhood, so youll need
to be prepared for the drop demand of a high take rate. I'm serious about
that, he will oversell your ability to install. As good as that sounds, you
have to be prepared for a take rate you might not be accustomed to.
We do clean work, there will be turf scuff, but when we leave, your
customers will be talking about how well we preserved their neighborhood.
We prefer rural subdivision/neighborhood work to metro.
We have 7x11, 10x15, Hydrovac, Mini, LM42, 8550A, dump trailer, utility
locator, fusion splicers, splice trailer, etc (and an ungodly amount of
shovels), so we have the base tools to get the work done. But we would have
to discuss a mobilization rate that matches the job demand.
We can acquire materials, and do maintain some on hand, the preference is
you provide the materials, or if an acquisition is needed we take a moment
to bulk it out among multiple providers to offset some costs.
We both operate in the small market, so we know the limitations of the bank
account and we both have some spite regarding the big guys.
If youre interested, send me a brief description of what you have going on
and we will get with you to see if we can fit in each others pockets.
Most of you folks are aware of me, its good cop bad cop with him and I, not
sure which is which.
I firmly believe that the little guy needs a break, Id like to think we are
that break. SBA required I write a full business plan, I didnt get any
dough from them, but part of that plan was a percentage of time committed
to help the part of this industry I grew up in. Every one of us who has to
take that buyout check from the behemoths only hurts our consumer customers
in the long run, and I firmly believe in being the thorn in their side for
the longest amount of time possible.
We can do turnkey from upstream to customers PC, but we prefer to handle
duct and fiber.
