Maybe some local or regional airports are unworthy of fiber. ________________________________ From: AF <[email protected]> on behalf of Ken Hohhof <[email protected]> Sent: Thursday, March 6, 2025 1:56 PM To: 'AnimalFarm Microwave Users Group' <[email protected]> Subject: Re: [AFMUG] OT FAA
I don’t know, this promotional video from L3Harris mentions microwave, satellite and cellular, I didn’t see anything about fiber although it’s hard to believe there’s no fiber in the mix. Lots of photos of microwave dishes though. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RSb8gLKesAY This document talks about an optical backbone but also cites terrestrial, microwave and satellite. So probably it’s a mix. https://www.l3harris.com/sites/default/files/2021-08/MN_FTI_Program_Profile_SellSheet_v5-WEB.pdf From: AF <[email protected]> On Behalf Of Darin Steffl Sent: Thursday, March 6, 2025 12:45 PM To: AnimalFarm Microwave Users Group <[email protected]> Subject: Re: [AFMUG] OT FAA Why do you think they're not all fiber? I assume they are fiber. On Thu, Mar 6, 2025, 12:18 PM <[email protected]<mailto:[email protected]>> wrote: Can someone please tell me why FAA ATC facilities are not all served by fiber.
