People have explained the anti-DEI backlash to me as they were just tired of hearing about it. A lot of it was performative, but people couldn’t stop talking about it, having training sessions, including language on websites and in grant proposals, etc., and it irked people.
So ironically, now that the dragon is slain, the dragon slayers can’t seem to stop talking about it. You’d think they would shut up about it, since that’s a lot of what people hated. Maybe it’s like tribes who regularly re-enact great battles and victories over past enemies. Why even mention DEI? The requirements to be a commercial pilot are the SAME for all races and genders. Stop parroting what the alt right is saying. There will be an investigation.
