LV has been having a LOT of monsoon activity.. significantly increasing
stagnant water, plus the major flood works that funnel water to
underground catch basins where it can take a month to go dry.

I don't think there are enough evap coolers in the entire state of
Nevada to significantly raise the humidity.
More likely, it is the sources of standing water where little (and I
mean little) bits of water are shielded from the heat in out of the
way places (gardens, alleys, etc.).

Ha, in these dry areas I would love to know how much water it would
take to bring up humidity from low teens to even 20%, must be
trillions of gallons

Here in the midwest they complain about "corn sweat" making the
weather more humid and raising the "real feel" temp. Should we add
"evap cooler sweat"?

Also attacked for energy usage, so either or here. Atleast real
evap vs cooling tower is much better use of the water. Cooling towers
then that water off to run the compressors for normal cooling is a
double whammy

Datacenters have been getting attacked for using evaporative cooling,
due to the amount of water consumption.

OAT temps high 90s
Here is IAT of my shop in the welding and work spaces. (Have AC in
the office areas).
I have them (3 huge ones) on timers. They kick on about 7:30 each
week day morning.
You can see the humidity take a vertical jump when they come on.
IAT tracks OAT but the coolers make the slope of the line much less.
