Five people were charged for the Minneapolis police station fire during BLM
riots.

The other 4 I can't easily find any actual reference to their politics. Maybe
they were Antifa, or maybe they were just angry.

I have not read the court documents. I'd wager that if I do, I'll find that
both the "Antifa did it" or the "alt right instigators did it" stories have
elements of truth in them, but that both stories have been stripped of all
nuance and circumstance. Rather than talk about the messy and complicated
reality, people just cherry pick the pieces of the story that support what they
already believe. When I dig deep into a topic that's usually what I find.
Occasionally, I find a total bullshit sandwich, but this one doesn't quite
smell like it. It seems more like two versions of events that are both
partially true.

I'll live with my assumption in this case. Being thorough on a topic is very
time consuming and I don't have the energy to spend on this one.

All the maskef antifas burning police stations proclamed they were antifa.

I guess I don't see anyone from Antifa telling comics that they have to get

antifa, but plenty of MAGA saying that someone was antifa because they didn't
like the words coming out of their mouths. And then actually striking out
against that person. Physically or politically...

When Antifa says fascism, they just mean anything not on the extreme left. If
they disagree with you, you are a fascist. There is no relevance to actual

What a lot of people fail to understand is that there is no "antifa"

However, I would say that the majority of Americans are against the idea of
fascism.

Tell me you're in favor of fascism.

Maybe you mean nihilism and not literally Antifa. There seems to be a bumper
crop of disaffected nihilists these days. Not sure that fits neatly into a
left/right political narrative. More like there will always be people who
think the world has screwed them over and want to burn the whole thing down.

Odd that the majority of the people in my sphere of influence that are
espousing the goodness of antifa are all uniformly: uneducated, pot smoking, un
churched, and in many cases with minor criminal records, but all of them are as
poor as dirt it seems. Poverty is what drove the Russian revolution. Perhaps
that is the driver here.
