Tarriffs. If they're actually going into the coffers like they say and somehow
going against that 37 trillion, that is
probably a good thing. We already saw inflation under Biden, none of us liked
it, we sure don't like it now, but
it's not like this is something new.

The only time I remember prices FALLING in my life was 08-09-10. 5 dollars for
a BLT, a bowl of grits, and a
soda at waffle house. $1 cokes at mcd's. Lots of other things were lower in
price....artificially. Guessing maybe
the big guys didn't make as much $$...maybe didn't pass as much down to their
shareholders. But maybe we
do need a recession again.

Lots of misinformation about CDC etc. I understand FL has just agreed to let
the citizens decide what vax to
get . Media says they've outlawed vaccines. Ok, whatever. Can't deny the
gov'mt SCREWED THE POOCH
on requiring the COVID vaccine. Lots of "ifs" there, if they didn't have a
vaccine for it, would we know how many
would have actually died? lots of ifs.....but overall consensus is operation
warp speed was a good thing.

If the gov'mt hadn't screwed with the data like the APPARENTLY did (and
apparently did J6 and so many other
things - yes - i watched the whole hearings) - - the public would not be
reacting so strongly.

Ukraine/Gaza/etc, wow. I'll skip that for now. Lots of"mad" people involved
there. I do kind of agree with trump.
Can't we just stop the killing? I don't think the real reason Putin has
invaded has even been released to the American
public. One thing was absolutely obvious to me - -although Zelenski was
"kicked out" of the Oval Office for being
"disrespectful" (whatever....), EVERYTHING he said became true.

Inflation would be closer to 2%? Dunno about that one. Still lots of debate
between parties on how wages are tied
to the cost of living, etc. You raise minimum wage, everything will go up.
Print more money, everything will go up.
Everything will go up anyway. Unless you're in a recession. Are we?

People picking produce. Ohh, sore topic there. American's don't want to
"work". Ok, so we need immigrant labor
for that. Maybe. Ok argument. We have lots of farms here too, and frankly,
lots of immigrant labor. Not only in
the fields, but in the automotive plants. They work for less. And people who
can't get jobs or get raises resent that.
>From what I understand, AI and robots will replace most jobs in 5 years
>anyway, so then who will complain about
picking the fields? BUt since none of us will have jobs, we won't have money
to buy the goods from the fields, so
how is that going to work?

A federal budget with more hope. It looks obvious to me the administration is
doing more with less. And they're doing.
I'm not hearing reports of large parts of the government failing or falling to
its knees. Some sectors (NWS) even got
hired back. I think most of the jobs we saw added in the last 3-4 years WERE
government jobs. And that is a problem,
it skews the numbers, and none of us really know the state of the job market.
Spend 30 minutes on youtube, you might
be really freaked out. Then again, fear sells....and sells WELL. Haven't seen
much optimism on youtube. Or on the news
for that matter.

I know Joe MIller has spent a lot of time on solar since retiring. I
personally don't know why every household isn't looking
into solar to replace the grid and adding Elon's power banks (or something
cheaper and more efficient). I've even thought
about starting a business around it......but then again my local electric coop
has pretty much put me out of business by
running fiber everywhere, so i'm a little angry with them (as a competitor).
As a consumer, I'm thrilled they're providing
access to basically everyone. But the power game is becoming a ripoff. No one
is happy with their power bills and they
constantly increase. Not sure solar is a big enough thing to power the whole
grid. It sure won't work for data centers
"so they say"....red alert.....big problems ahead there. Maybe "the grid" for
commercial, solar for residential, but then that
eliminates what 80% of the business? Now we are unsustainable. Oops.

Throwing one more out there......crime. I don't live in DC but they "say"
it's a lot better. The "other wise" on social media
says they're just deploying natguard to clean gratiffi off streets and smile at
citizens. Sure LOOKS better and a surge of
law enforcement to "take down the bad guys" never hurt, did it? Maybe the
local budgets didn't support hiring a large number
of new cops. Maybe it did and they just never did it. Maybe Chicago will
consider it now? Maybe a little pressure in the right
place to move the needle is a good thing? Open to opinion.

Ahhh....the good old days. I used to write a book at a time in here. Ya'll
take care.

Noone will ever know that for certain.

a.. There wouldn't tariffs like now
b.. RFK wouldn't be running NIH or CDC
c.. Kirk would still be alive
d.. Ukraine war might be different
    e.. Israeli-Gaza might be different
f.. Inflation would be closer to 2%
g.. People would still be picking our produce
h.. Might have a federal budget with a little more hope
i.. Putin wouldn't be quite so smug
j.. We might still be adding solar and wind power to the grid
I could go on and on.

I am absolutely positive 90% of my ancestors fought in the revolution
against King George and those same ancestors are rolling in their graves about
how another usurper criminal felon King Don is in the whitehouse. Absolutely
positive about it. Not at all mixed about it. I didn't like him at all 30
years ago, found his TV shows offensive, found everything about him to be rude,
crud and lewd, repulsive in every way. Only thing I can figure is the state of
Nevada said he couldn't own a casino in their state because he was mafia and I
agree with their opinion. He must have made an offer to the GOP and Supreme
court they couldn't refuse (godfather) and they took the offer.

Not mixed at all for me. I find the guy (not THAT guy) repulsive in

      He is visibly and verbally deteriorating. No one will have to kill him;
he will expire all by himself (just like most of us I guess), but I openly
wonder if he will survive to November 2028.

I am guessing that wouldn't make Trump a hero to you....
