At some point, we will have no choice but to implement eugenics to course correct, and step back from symptom treatments. Simply put, we let genetics that would have snuffed out early thrive and breed at extreme rates. We promote inner city inbreeding to a degree that rural Kentucky thinks is gross. We hand out antibiotics like candy to people who won't take them correctly, for illnesses that are contraindicated. We take meds to make us more comfortable to stop fevers that would normally kill pathogens, giving them extra time to adapt to human hosts. We build super bugs this way then wonder why they spread amongst a population of genetic defects that mother nature never intended to exist and gets progressively dumber with every breeding.
Truths being ugly make them no less true.
