They put a server in your datacenter/NOC/etc, you announce your prefixes to it 
via BGP like netflix/akamai/etc and all the Amazon football traffic will get 
fed from it. 

I havent had any issues and it’s been nice to see the offload from DIA/IX for 
the minimal cost of power/space in the cab.
