Bonus checks will be given out tomorrow. Hopefully this can help a bit with holiday season expenses. Bonuses are based on how profitable we have been and how productive you have been.
Just a reminder, as with any pay issues, the amount of your bonus is company confidential. While I cannot legally tell you that you cannot tell someone else the amount of your bonus, or your starting pay, or your raise or anything like this, I do want you all to be sensitive to the following: Everyone starts at a different rate of pay. Things that might affect the starting wage are: * How well the company is doing at the time of hire * Specialty experience or trades * Prior Experience * Industry contacts * Time in service to your specialty * Education level (sometimes this is not a factor) * Training * Personal performance * Productivity (this is big) * Personality. (Yes, personality is a factor. ) Bonuses are also calculated with these factors in mind, in addition how well the company has done this year and how much you contributed to how well the company has done this year. A part time employee contributes fewer hours to our year, therefore they will get a smaller bonus for doing the exact same work as others. If someone asks you what your pay is or what your raise or bonus was, the only appropriate polite answer is "why would ask such a question". Or simply "none of your business" which is a better answer in my opinion. (But I am not always polite. ) Sharing ANY details about pay with another causes problems and unhappiness. Either for you or for them. We are a pretty laid back company, but if anyone causes this kind of problem it will be ungood for them.
