signatureDoes this lead to a “tragedy of the commons” scenario, where too many
people try to graze their sheep on the commons?

What happens to these 802.11ac systems when the cableco and telco deploy
“carrier WiFi”, using customer routers as public hotspots, and deploying strand
mounted WiFi? Plus the Internet of Things.

I really don’t see myself signing a 2 year contract on such a service, even if
it works well initially. We all know how difficult it is to operate a
commercial service using license exempt spectrum that is not for our exclusive
use. At first you’re the only ant on the dead caterpillar, but soon there are
ants swarming all over it.

Brett Westwood and Dean Lundberg, formerly from Jab are running much of it.
Yes they do expect to pass up Jab. Big $$,$$$,$$$ going into it.

Not a standard PTMP platform. More of a mesh(?) with AC, beamforming, mu-mimo,
28GHz (?) backhaul links, and more custom stuff. They backhaul to a
neighborhood "hub" home and create small cells. I'm not sure if there is fiber
to every tower, but "towers" feed "hubs" which feed homes, so it's a couple
levels removed from fiber to the home. (Don't tell the marketing guys!)

They used to show an indoor CPE on their site, but I don't think that worked
out.

I talked to a customer. He is a quarter mile away from one of their major

a perfect path.
