The flood that failed on me was an "ecosmart" brand from Home Depot, FYI.
I was just there today, and they had some on sale for under $5 a bulb. They also had some new "100W equivalent" ones that would probably be great for a garage, shop or someplace else that needs a lot of light and maybe isn't heated, which was always a problem for CFLs.
