We have a local Elementary/High school district wanting to upgrade all of their fiber links to 10Gb. The kicker I’ve found is this central location has 6 connections. I can find switches with 4 SFP+/XFP ports easily. It seems like you crack the magic ‘4’ number and the prices start jumping pretty quick. I’d like to avoid stacking switches if possible but cost may dictate doing so. So does anyone know of a switch with 6 SFP+/XFP ports that’s not going to make the administrator have a stroke on me? Thanks, Robert Haas
