Anecdotal information is Hughes Gen4 is no better than Gen1, usually less than 1 Mbps download, so I don’t see how Exede could be as bad. When Exede first came out, people were reporting speeds of 20+ Mbps, have heard that is less now that spot beams are filling up, but the complaint about Exede is usually the usage cap not the speed.
Interesting, I just got a customer switching off the stimulus subsidized Hughesnet, the one where our tax dollars paid for free installation and a discount on the monthly price. Is that ending now or something? Hard to believe, but ARRA was 4 or 5 years ago, wasn’t it?
