[AFMUG] OT: Using HDTV as Web Browser

Have a friend that has no PC but has a big screen tv with hdmi inputs.
Thought about getting them a logitech wireless keyboard with touchpad
to use with with a raspberry pi.  Problem is the pi does not have
enough CPU to do youtube, javascript, etc.  Is there a better, turn
key solution for this on the cheap?
