I'm going to guess intermod between two nearby high-power transmitters.

We had something like this at one of our sites a few years ago at around 500 MHz. Trouble was, there was no equipment installed that was operating at that frequency. There were, however, several high power transmitters, and if you were in the wrong place at the wrong time, you would see this 500 MHz signal.

We should try our luck here: Let's make a list of possible causes of this 711MHz noise. I forgot to ask what kind of cable are you using for data and power to your radios and what other gear in your mix.

the guy that gets it right will be named Magnus Vir in orbis terrarum....or mundus is more correct...

With the UBNT equipment, it's the clock rate of the CPU.

-87 sounds like a big deal to me if your RSSI comes in around -100
    or so.

That said, isn't the IF on Dragonwave in the 900 MHz band?

I would not expect the Redline to have an IF at all.

711Mhz doesnt sound like an IF of either of these systems
to me, but Ive got tickets in with the equipment manuf. It
looks like they are some 3^rd party AT&T has sweeping
buildings downtown. Anyone dealt with these guys before? He
told me he measured a -87 with his directional antenna 10 feet
away from the equipment and acted like that was a really big
deal, sounds like a pretty low level to me honestly. Anyone
know what the legal limits for spurious emissions are in the
        700-800Mhz band?
