See Aaron, see, what did I tell you!
You can still put it in SM mode to run AP eval and it will detect AP
beacons, but it will NOT register to any APs (that's what Aaron told
me). SM mode will completely go away in the future. So they need to
figure out how to let us still do AP eval after that. Spectrum analyzer
is great, but if I got interference, I want to scan for any APs and see
what their frame config is (so I can try to sync with it), what CC (who
it might be), etc. Otherwise we gotta have a guy take an SM up the tower
and point it in the same direction as each sector. Uh, no, I ain't doin dat.

When they added the feature to let us do SA in AP mode, did they take
away
the ability to put it in SM mode (to do AP Eval)? Is this related to 430
backward compatibility and it thinks I want it to emulate a 430 SM?
Or am I just forgetting that I've seen it before, ignored it, and
rebooted?
I'd rather not turn something at 300 feet into a brick.
