I have two Jirous links in production that run in the lower 5Ghz bands. I emailed Jonathan at Brink Networks and he basically said the same thing that Mike Hammett said: *Their primary market has been the EU.*
*This is what Jonathan told me:* The primary reason they're marked that way is because the lower band isn't available in Europe. While you will see a little difference between the lower and upper bands, its on par with other dishes of the same size. I deploy and use them extensively in both bands. I have three links using the 24 EX MIMO dishes and one link using the 29 EX MIMO dishes. They are kind of a PITA to assemble given other options, but on some of our more congested towers, it is worth having that built in shield, IMO.
