Stefan, 

Take a closer look at the bracket, it is very smartly designed, and not so 
obvious on the best way to align... 
I went thru the same process (struggle).. until my partner by chance discovered 
what I was missing:- 

Clamp the bracket on the pole, adjust your horizontal first... tighten the 
bracket from the clamp side... once done.. you can loosen the nuts on the radio 
bracket side and adjust the vertical ... 

I will suggest to Mimosa folks to do a one page how to doc on it.
