I do that for anyone running a Belkin or Netgear. Crap routers.
The old Linksys/Cisco were fine. Not so sure about the new Linksys yet. They have the Internet cable plugged into the WAN Port of the router, but it's just acting as a switch. Is this a standard config for Satellite installs? Nate
