Hey guys, I'm looking at a site where we will use about 100 watts of power and trying to figure long term costs of doing solar instead of paying for a power connection. The power connection would cost between $40-50 per month with between 80-100 kWh per month of usage. Even if we go with grid power, we still planning on having at least 150ah of battery backup available.
If we decide to go solar and provide enough power to not have an outage with overcast days, what are your suggestions for the amount of solar wattage needed and how many batteries we'd need? Any advice with solar would be great so we can compare costs.
