I don't know about fragile. I have a 300 for tier right next to my building. Last winter I listened to huge chunks of ice fall on it as it thawed for two days. Forth day I went up to take a look. I couldn't tell anything had ever happened to it. Looked as good as new with the exception of a bit dirtier. I have a non poem mount up there as well.
