They spin up and down with temperature, but also go nuts with CPU utilization. If you log in with winbox, you can hear them immediately wind up and down.

I've had a lot of problems with the fans on more than half of the 1100AHX2's I have deployed. At some point, several weeks or a couple months, they just stop working. A reboot doesn't fix it, only a power-cycle does. Most of them are in good temperature controlled shelters, some not so controlled and they all do it. So I have no idea what causes it.

The fans on ours spin up and down.....I assumed it was temperature controlled.

I seem to recall somebody mentioning having issues with the fans on these. Is it normal for these to throttle up and down? The one by my desk it seems is always running up and down, It almost sounds like its trying to die, but if its normal I wont be concerned about it

If you only see yourself as part of the team but you don't see your team as part of yourself you have already failed as part of the team.
