Not sure I would want a chain mount around a fiberglass pole either.  Too many 
points of pressure.

I've never had the pleasure.  The tower guy didn't like the idea of using a 
monopole mount of any sort.  I suggested a chain mount and a Site Pro UGLM.  
Nope....he wants big clamps.  I also had another person who wanted to use 
through holes.  

Somebody hates every answer.  Big clamps just shut the biggest mouths.
