That is the most popular, never recorded (on an album) tune that M.F. played.  
I kinda thought it was a bit cheezy for Maynard's jazz abilities, but it was a 
season when he did a LOT of covers, and did them all pretty well, from James 
Taylor to the Beatles,

Personally, I haven't played much in the past two months... too busy playing 
whack-a-mole with tower lightning hits, LOL.

Just picked up the horn last night for the 1st time in a few weeks.  Give me a 
week or two to get things "flowing" again and I will give it a shot.

FYI, the second trumpeter in the section (from the left) is a friend of mine 
(Lynn Nicholson) who only played a couple a years with Maynard (and Bill Chase) 
and can still play the mess out of high notes.  Maynard featured him a lot for 
two years in the early 70's.
