Was just reading page 2-19 of the 450i User Guide. Amazed by it not caring much about polarity. Great feature, wish everything was that way. Was just also hoping it was like old canopy gear. For years with FSK Canopy we carried 12 volt battery to power up the SM for site surveys. Now days we use an 18 volt drill battery. The SM seemed to always work fine down to about 10 volts even though it was supposed to run on 24.
