If you really want to see awesome take a look at some of the
Andrew/Commscope ETSI Class 4 antennas. 70 db f/b ratio and awesome
sidelobe suppression.
not cheap.

I've worked
with the big boy dishes and other than weighing a metric
shit ton, they didn't live up to the hype of being
awesomesauce.
*shrugs* Maybe I don't yet appreciate the subtle
differences.

Not comparable to a Rocket Dish, not in the
same zipcode as a Commscope or Radiowaves licensed
dish.
(although I do wish Radiowaves would add lift
hooks and stiffarm attachment points to their 2-3
ft dishes)

Yes,
antennas for the B11 is what I was talking
about.
Hrm, I didn't have any concerns on the Jirous
dishes other than needing to be a grand master
puzzle solver to assemble them.
Jirous does have a new web site out now that
sucks a whole lot less.

So I’m lost, are you talking about
antennas for the B11? Are you saying
Jirous is supplying HP 11 GHz antennas?
If that’s correct, I hope the build
quality is a giant step up from the 5
GHz antennas I’ve bought from them, they
are OK especially for the price, but I
would demand a lot more for a licensed
band antenna. I know Jirous has a deep
parabolic 3.5 GHz antenna at a higher
price point, so maybe for more money
they can build them better.

The chocolates? A
gentleman never tells....
The radios? $2k/radio with antennas
between $400 and $1k, depending on
size. There will be Jirous 2', 3' and
4' options. Brink will be the importer
and they'll be available through
Streakwave and DoubleRadius. I'm not
sure if they'll be available through
Brink Networks directly.
