theres a billion different solutions all dependent on environment and aesthetics. The guy here the other day was talking about pointing the subscriber at a metal structure and using the reflection, nanobridges you can pull the reflector off of. If its close enough, direct connect fiber. get a cheap free space optics solution, etc. I try to not connect a neighbor to the pmp solution whenever possible just to avoid a blinded AP. Alot depends also on how much that customer is paying.
We are turning up a bank right now thats paying a pretty penny, theyre a block from the AP, so for today we just are doing a couple epmp SMs as a pmp solution, when we stick more customers on that AP we will move to whatever is needed including boring fiber to them. a block the other direction we have a 69 dollar low end business customer, theyre on the 320 pmp and thats that. The site itself is a customer, the office is about 50 feet from the grain leg, we just strung bbdge overhead with 600SS on each side and we are bonded to the site ground, and issues and we will get a fiber module and isolate them. This site has a backup link to another tower 2 blocks away that was our old POP in the area, thats a NBM5 SM at our enclosure shooting over to the old towers UBNT pmp solution as any other subscriber would be. 4 locations, 4 different solutions, all with benefits, all with detriments On Thu, Oct 22, 2015 at 11:02 AM, Josh Luthman <[email protected]> wrote: > Does anyone have any tips for this? > > My only thought process was to do an integrated radio *inside* the office > building to keep from hearing every AP on the tower.
