The skywalker ones are indeed made of thinner gauge steel and a little
wimpy. They're still ok for small antennas. I have not seen a problem
with the finish wearing, and we're in acid rain territory....I think
Luthman is too actually.
For dishes, I liked the ones from the Dish Network supply chain. The
Dish 500 mast was the same price as skywalker but beefier. For real
ruggedness, the Dish Network 1000.4 has a larger pan so the masts
available for that are all very burly.

We bought some a while back and they seemed like they were made our of

Maybe they have improved. I have never used a flimsier mast in my
life. I bought 50 of them last year. I have already had three
service calls from them bending out of alignment in wind, and the
thin powder coating is already turning to rust after only one year.
Plus they all have big ugly yellow warning stickers on them.

I've bought nearly all of mine from Skywalker. They seem fine, in
fact they're the favorite one to use because of the hole pattern
in the base.

I have been happy with the long masts from Perfect10.tv, but I
can absolutely tell you don't ever buy masts from Skywalker!!!

They are out of stock and no ETA. Trying to find
something equivalent without going to the DS-3000. Those
are a little more flimsy.
