Cannot speak for the link calculator, but  I can share with you the following:-

1) -64/-65 is the right signal level for a link distance of 3.5 miles
2) yes the chains should be balanced (all of them the same  or +/- 1-2db), your 
one side is rather off ...
    (when you have them just right, it does take a bit of patience, each side 
of the chain should be similar or the same +/- 1db
3) you might want to reduce the RX gain to low, and or if you leave the gain 
high, try reducing the power one 1db at a time... to get the full 8x 
modulation...

Is there a good link estimation utility for the Airfiber 24 HD?

I like the UBNT online link calculator, but it doesn't work with 24Ghz?

This is the link I just put up, shouldn't the chains all be about equal dB?
What does it mean when the second chain is so much different from the first on 
these units?

Don't even know if the dB is dialed in at this range :(
